You Are Stronger Than You Know

You Are Stronger Than You Know

You have been tried by adversity.

Tempered in the fire of grief and despair.

You learned to be your own best friend through loneliness and rejection.

You learned to be the only strength you need when others let you down.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned to value loved ones through heartbreaking loss.

You learned to face your fears through countless challenges.

You learned perseverance through unremitting obstacles.

You learned patience through trials.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned compassion for others through your suffering.

You learned through error what it takes to get it right.

You learned to value health through sickness.

You learned that possessions are temporary and can’t fulfill your desires.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned through hunger to appreciate Nature’s bounty.

You learned to value love through heartache.

You learned through addictions to find the strength within.

You learned through being belittled not to inflict that pain on others.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned through mistreatment how not to treat others.

You learned through false accusations not to be the accuser.

You learned through embarrassment the opposite of pride.

You learned through skimping and saving how little you really need.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned through aging not to put value on appearance.

You learned to value freedom when you realized you were enslaved.

You learned the value of truth when confronted with a magnitude of lies.

You learned to value life by seeing how little others valued it.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned to look for similarities after learning differences were used to divide and conquer you.

You learned to think for yourself after learning all you’ve been taught are lies.

You learned to take control of your life after realizing you had no control.

You learned the value of equality by things being so unequal.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned not to judge by appearance because appearances can be misleading.

You learned not to blindly follow orders and to choose carefully who leads you.

You learned the value of peace over war.

You learned that greed and lust for power lead to evil and corruption.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned through being robbed not to steal.

You learned through being attacked what it’s like to be a victim.

You learned through imprisonment the value of freedom.

You learned that going along with the crowd can lead to destruction.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.

You learned to think about what you read and view after learning you were being controlled through what you were reading and viewing.

You learned to evaluate more carefully your heroes and role models after noticing the imperfections in the ones presented to you.

You learned to value the government and founding documents the Founding Fathers gave you that allowed your government to remain viable even after being stolen.

You learned where apathy will lead you to cause you to take action.

It has not defeated you; it has made you stronger.
